Join us and our guest Jessica Michna in her delightful portrayal of four of our nation's leading ladies. Michna will take audiences on a journey back in time as she makes these famous figures come to life. Audiences of all ages will be enthralled with her performances as she shares stories, both humorous and emotional, which give listeners an idea of what life was like in these times. In an experience that is not just educational but truly enjoyable, Michna will help audiences understand these influential women in a whole new way. Michna has become well known for her performances through the years, performing for schools, historical societies, senior centers, and more. All First Ladies of Fashion Programs are $20.00 for non-members and $17.00 for members and include the program and dessert. Pre-registration is required at least three days prior to the event. Please call (513) 563-9484 to register. All programs begin at 7:00pm in the Hayner House.

March 30th- Abigail Adams "A Lifeline of Letters" Audiences will see Abigail in her later days, as she reflects on her early life as a wife to a diplomat and as a First Lady. Well known for the letters she exchanged with her husband John, Abigail will reference these as she shares stories about their relationship and how they dealt with such uncertain times at our nation's beginning. -Our Abigail Adams program is sponsored by PNC Bank At our program on Friday night, Abigail Adams portrayed by Jessica Michna enlighted the crowd about her life and relationship with her husband. Highlights included correspondence between her and John Adams during the Revolutionary War and their audience with King George III of England. To see pictures of the event, click here!
April 20th- Dolley Madison "The Lady Who Saved Washington" As our country was still forming Dolley was forced to deal with the difficulties of the War of 1812 in the White House. Dolley shares details of her childhood as a Quaker and how she grew into the strong willed woman we remember her as, standing beside husband James to become the Grand Dame of Washington. -Our Dolley Madison program is sponsored by Marshall Tucker and Winkie Foster in honor of the Presidents of the National Society of Colonial Dames of America in Ohio.
May 11th- Mary Todd Lincoln "The White House Years" As wife to one of our most influential presidents, Mary tells the tale of her own beginnings and how she came to marry Abraham. With four boys in the White House during the height of the abolitionist movement, Mary has many stories to share including the tragedy of losing her husband in 1865. June 8th- Eleanor Roosevelt "First Lady of the World" Perhaps the most well known and influential of all the First Ladies, Eleanor is a fascinating woman to learn about. In the troubled times of depression and war Eleanor helped her husband to keep the country hopeful for a brighter future. After the loss of Franklin, Eleanor reflects on their experiences and how she grew into an identity of her own.
